Last week Branded Mini-Games went to the Mobile World Congress (MWC). It was a busy week, so we’ve only just been able to put together our thoughts and reactions to this great event.
More Than Chocolate
We were there as part of the Swiss Pavilion in Hall 8.1, so thanks goes to the guys at Alp ICT for supporting us to go. We had a great time and were part of a great Swiss delegation.

The message of the Swiss Pavilion was More Than Chocolate. There are pre-conceived ideas on what Switzerland is good at. At MWC we showed that technology startups is a big part of what Switzerland has to offer — not just chocolate and watches.
Branded Mini-Games: great for exhibitions
There was a lot of interest in Branded Mini-Games, in the concept of games for marketing and there were lot of exhibitors who were using games and game elements as part of their stands.

Our Mini-Games are perfect for exhibitions and events. To help get people before and during the event to engage with your brand and what you’re offering. As most businesses offer a prize draw or similar to get people to come to their stand then why not use a game too.
Over the coming months we will be showcasing our games and how they could be used for exhibitions and events to attract attendees to your stand. We plan to create a guide to help you use games for exhibitions, trade shows and events.
Branded Web Games are cross-platform
One big message that came from MWC is the attraction of web games for mobile and other smart devices. The old barriers of getting your customers to play your branded games are no longer there. You can create your own game and launch it using a HTML5 web game, which can work on all devices and desktop computers.
Being cross-platform, our games now work everywhere, at any time. With fast mobile connectivity, your players can play the games from any location. If they have a spare 5 minutes they can now click and play, link to your game and try to beat their score and win a prize. Players can also use devices interchangeably — playing the game on their mobile, tablet and PC as they want to.
Now Free to create your own Advergames
At MWC we launched the new Branded Mini-Games self-service platform. Now people can sign up and create their own branded games. At the moment this is available for free, so go and sign up for an account and try it out.
Conclusion
It was great to be part of this size of exhibition and be part of the atmosphere of the event. One thing was clear that the event is not just about Mobile anymore. In fact every device was there, from watches, to cars, to data storage and even toothbrushes. The Internet of Everything (IoE) was a big topic of discussion alongside the handsets and apps.
Thanks MWC, hope to see you all next year.
