The Shilla Duty-Free Shop
The Shilla Duty-Free Shop, operated by The Shilla Hotel, is a prominent duty-free shop in Korea. Since the launch of its Seoul branch in Jangchung-dong, the shop has expanded to include locations at Jeju and Incheon Airports. To enhance the shopping experience, the Shilla Internet Duty-Free Shop offers events exclusively for its official mobile app users. One of these events features a branded mini game that provides Lalacash, a digital currency redeemable at the shop, encouraging app usage and increasing customer engagement.
CAMPAIGN
To boost app participation and retention rates, the Shilla Internet Duty-Free Shop introduced ten variations of Shilla-themed games within its app. Each game features a cohesive design, incorporating ten adorable puppy characters to ensure visual consistency. Events are held every 15 days, rewarding users with Lalacash based on their cumulative scores. This campaign, launched in March 2019, remains active to this day.
Participation in the games requires one heart, and users receive five hearts daily by default. Hearts regenerate every two hours and can also be earned through specific activities, such as making purchases, picking up duty-free items, leaving comments, or sharing games via the Shilla Internet Duty-Free Shop app.
